The inaugural edition of the three-day event is scheduled for May 2027
ADE has partnered with Insomniac to launch Map Point Summit, a new dance music industry conference in Las Vegas.
The inaugural event will take place at the city’s Virgin Hotels location across three days in May 2027, between the two weekends of EDC Las Vegas, which are scheduled for 14th-16th and 21st-23rd May.
According to press material, Map Point Summit will provide a gathering place for “aspiring visionaries, rising creators, independent promoters, artists, entrepreneurs, and established professionals to share knowledge, build relationships, discover opportunities, and help shape the future of the scene”.
The summit’s name references the “map points” used in US underground rave culture, where attendees would meet at a designated location before receiving directions to the party itself. Its launch was announced during a keynote speech by Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella at this year’s ADE, which [took] in Amsterdam.
During the speech, Rotella said: “Rave culture was built by ravers, for ravers. It started as a grassroots, community-driven movement with its own values, spirit and way of doing things. As our scene has grown, I believe it’s become increasingly important to protect what made it special in the first place. That’s why Map Point Summit means so much to me.
“We need to support independent promoters, share knowledge, create opportunities for the next generation, and work together to build an industry that allows rave culture to thrive on its own terms. I’m excited to partner with ADE to help bring that vision to life.”
Further details, including the summit’s programme, speakers and ticketing, have yet to be announced.
