The album, which features Joe Smooth, Jacques X Gregory and more, marks the label’s first vinyl release in over a decade.

Chicago house label Trax Records has released a 40th-anniversary compilation.
 
Titled RISING AGAIN, the six-track album was executive produced by Pi Rho, and features contributions from Joe Smooth, Jacques x Gregory, Spada, Kushgad and current label owner Screamin’ Rachael. All proceeds from the record will go to SocialWorks, a Chicago-based organisation which works to empower kids through the arts, education, and civic engagement.
 
Established in the early 1980s by Larry Sherman, Trax has released music from the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Larry Heard, DJ Pierre, Marshall Jefferson, Ron Hardy, Phuture, Armando and Jesse Saunders. Screamin’ Rachael, a former associate of Sherman’s, has led the label since 2007. RISING AGAIN marks Trax’s first vinyl release in over a decade.
