You can flip any YouTube video on an MPC-style sampler

A new free browser-based sampler lets you map YouTube videos onto your keyboard.

Designed to function like an MPC, YPC comprises a 16-pad grid that allows you to play and slice samples using your computer keyboard or a MIDI controller. You can then either randomise or create custom timestamps for each pad, with the sample length spanning 0.1s to 8 seconds. There’s also a time-stretching feature.

The brainchild of artist Halfpast, the tool also includes a 64-step sequencer with swing and BPM functions that can be programmed using either step input or real-time recording.
