The house legend’s latest full-length is out August 15th via Armada Music.

House legend Joe Smooth has unveiled his first album in over 30 years.
 
Due out on August 15th via Armada Music, We Shall Overcome features the likes of DJ Slugo, Robert Owens, Kaleb Searcy, Angie Brown, Black Pearl and Mr. Root. It mark’s Joe Smooth’s second-ever full-length record—he released his debut, Promised Land, in 1989. Over the decades, the album’s title track has come to be regarded as a house classic, and a favourite of artists like Laurent Garnier and Graham Gold.
 
Since he began making music at age 12, Joe Smooth has served as the music coordinator at legendary New York club Limelight; held a residency at Chicago’s smartbar; and collaborated with the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Marshall Jefferson, Pet Shop Boys and A Guy Called Gerald. Earlier this year, he contributed to Chicago label Trax Records’ 40th-anniversary compilation, RISING AGAIN.
